The Journey
About Brody
Brody grew up in Walla Walla, Washington until the age of 11. In 1998, his family moved to Redding, California and have called it home ever since. His love and enthusiasm for the game began at a very early age. He started playing basketball at the age of 5 at the YMCA and began organized basketball in 2nd grade (AAU). It was then when he began to develop a consistent desire to get better. It all began at an early age when Brody and a small group of friends would get together on Sunday afternoons and his dad, Jamie Angley, would put them through fundamental drills to help grow their skills and understanding of the game. With the occasional wall sit and lots of jump rope, Brody distinctly remembers his dad’s voice telling him and his friends, “We may not win every game but we are going to be the hardest working kids in the state of Washington!” Brody continued organized basketball through middle school and high school, competing against some of the top talent in the country. Upon graduation from Enterprise High School, he received a full ride scholarship to play basketball at Santa Clara University. Go Broncos!!! There he received a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 2008. Following graduation, Brody continued his journey playing basketball internationally. After nine seasons in Europe, Latin America and South America, he is grateful to say he has experienced several different cultures and traveled to 23 different countries. If there is one thing he has learned in his travels it is that the people make the place.
Brody has always felt in the back of his mind he would one day return and call Redding his home again and that he did. He married his beautiful wife Alicia in June of 2017. Brody and Alicia have two children, Jamie and Jensen. The Angley family enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring all that Northern California has to offer. They truly are enjoying their journey…
